For full disclosure, I'm comparing a Glock G17 5th Gen, a Sig 226 Elite in 40, a Sig 226 Navy edition in 9 mm, and a USP in 45, so it's not a strictly apples to apples comparison. I don't carry every day, so I really don't see wear patterns from holsters or rubbing on clothes. Wear patterns from firing are about the same across all of them.Sig P226 vs Glock 22. I've carried both, and both are superb weapons. I personally lean to the Sig because of it's de-cock safety feature. The obvious disadvantage of this system is initial trigger pull needed to get the weapon into action. The Glock offers faster initial deployment, but also the possibility of a pre-mature discharge.I have both (P226 and USPc) and it's a tough choice. I like both because they are hammer-fired pistols which is my preference. Both of mine are DA/SA. Both shoot 40S&W and 357sig with the HK also able to shoot 9mm. Both are very pleasant to shoot with in the 40/357 configurations.
